I am a dyslexia specialist with over a dozen years experience as a speech language pathologist working with people of all ages on their language abilities, including reading and writing skills.

I’ve been extensively trained as a Lexercise therapist using the Science of Reading and Orton Gillingham approaches, which are current evidence-based practices.

Using teletherapy, I can give you the flexibility and one on one personalized therapy at the comfort of your home and on a scheduled time that fits with your family needs.

  • Evidence based structured literacy is the backbone of my service. It is designed to help students develop strong reading, writing, and spelling skills. I will provide individualized instruction and support to ensure success.

  • Structured literacy (Orton-Gillingham) is a multisensory, interactive and personalized approach to instruction specifically designed to match the skills and needs of those with dyslexia. The Orton-Gillingham approach has been around for over 70 years, and its principles have been tested, researched, and validated with positive results, over and over again. Using the OG approach, Lexercise customizes language learning to the needs of individual children. (from the Lexercise website)

  • Through the motivating daily practice built into the Lexercise system, children advance more quickly and shorten the total time needed to advance to grade-level reading. (from the Lexercise website)

  • As speech pathologist, I can provide speech therapy online (including for language processing, autism spectrum disorder, attention deficit disorder, articulation/phonological disorders, executive functioning issues, fluency/stuttering, and oral motor/swallowing issues. I work with clients from age 1-101 :)

“My son really enjoyed working with Kim. He's quite shy, but she was engaging, upbeat, and fun to work with. His confidence in the sessions grew tremendously as a result of her cheerfulness and clear instruction. Even his teachers at school noticed a sharp change for the better in his reading skills. She was really able to explain the rules of English language in a concise, easy to remember way. Kim is a fabulous therapist!”
